 Full Professor in Audiology SSD MED 32 at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, President of the Italian Society of Audiology and Phoniatrics and the Italian Study Group on Dysphagia.

She is Director of the Master in Speech Therapy Rehabilitation of Childhood Deafness at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in inter-university with the University of Pisa.
At the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, she has been Director of the School of Specialization in Otolaryngology and is currently Director of the School of Specialization in Audiology and Phoniatrics, as well as President of the Degree Course in Speech Therapy.

She has been Director of the Master in Alternative and Augmentative Communication and has collaborated to the Master in Rehabilitation of Childhood Hearing Impairment inter-ateneo with the University of Padua. She was also Director of the Master “Disability in Development Cooperation” at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
She is currently the Delegate of the Rector for Disability and DSA and is part of the Board of Directors of the National Conference of Rectors Delegates to Disability.
He is an expert evaluator for the Ministry of Health and referee for international journals, FIRB and PRIN research projects. He has participated as Commissioner in national selection competitions for researchers and associates in the scientific-disciplinary grouping MED 32.
She is member of the following national and international scientific societies:
Italian Society of Otolaryngology, Italian Society of Audiology and Phoniatrics, Italian Society of Phoniatrics and Logopedics, Italian Study Group on Dysphagia, Union of The European Phoniatricians, International Association of Physician in Audiology, International Society in Audiology International Association Logopedics and Phoniatrics, European Study Group for Diagnosis and Therapy of Dysphagia and Globus.

She has participated as a Commissioner in national selection competitions for researchers and associates of the scientific-disciplinary grouping MED 32.
She has taught, with regard to her scientific research areas, at the following universities: University of Ferrara, University of Sassari, University of Padova, University of Naples Federico II and Amman University.
She has directed the following research projects: National inter-university research program co-funded by MURST, PRIN (Cofin), “Language acquisition in children undergoing cochlear implantation”. National inter-university research program co-funded by MURST, PRIN (Cofin), “Cochlear implantation in children with deafness associated with disability: protocol for neuropsychiatric evaluation and assessment of global benefit”. Project of particular interest winner at MIUR “LIM in UNimore”. Project of particular interest winner at MIUR “CATS”.
As a partner and trainer she has also participated in the following projects:
Project funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “Education in Place” Erasmus + Project “TIDE – new Tools for Inclusion of Dyslexic studEnts.”
She is the author of numerous scientific works and publications in national and international journals.
